The Serenity Ritual is the house ritual at Mirra: ninety minutes that bring three treatments into one visit. It starts with a body scrub of green tea powder, continues with a full-body relaxation massage, and ends with an essential mini-facial. It is the format for anyone who wants more than a massage and does not yet have a whole afternoon for the La Sultane de Saba journeys. Alone or for two, in the same room, in Porto city centre, near Trindade metro station.
Why have the Serenity Ritual at Mirra
The order. First the scrub, which lifts dead skin and warms the body; then the massage, whose oil goes into clean, receptive skin; finally the face, once the body is already quiet. Each step prepares the next, and that is why ninety minutes of ritual feel like more than three separate treatments.
The balance. A massage treats the body; a facial treats the face. This ritual treats both without shortchanging either: the massage runs fifty minutes, the length of a full relaxation massage, and the mini-facial is a cleanse, a mask and hydration, not a token gesture.
The place and the people. The Baixa, Porto’s downtown, near Trindade metro station. Opening hours: Every day, 9am–10pm. The visit includes tea after your treatment and slippers. How the Serenity Ritual is done
Scrub
Lying on the table, covered, the therapist works a green tea powder scrub over the whole body in circular movements, from the legs upwards. A few minutes per area, with attention to elbows, knees and heels. Then hot towels to remove the product. About twenty minutes.
Massage
Fifty minutes of full-body relaxation massage, with warm oil and light to medium pressure agreed with you: back, legs, arms, neck, and the last minutes in silence. For two, the massage runs sixty minutes.
The face
In the last minutes, the essential mini-facial: a cleanse of the face, a mask chosen for your skin, left to work while your hands get a massage, and a moisturiser to finish. You leave with body and face treated, and no hurry to go.
Benefits
On spa rituals there is no research that separates the effect of each part, and we invent none. On massage in general, a meta-analysis found that a single session reduced the anxiety felt in the moment.1 The rest is experience: the smooth skin from the scrub, the loose body from the massage, the clean face, and an hour and a half in which nobody asked you for anything.
Afterwards
Drink water. Do not wash your face that day, to let the products work, and moisturise the body at night: after the scrub it absorbs as it had not. If you want to add the thermal circuit, take it before the ritual, not after.
For a whole afternoon with hammam, wrap and scents, the La Sultane de Saba journeys. Only the massage, the relaxation massage; only the scrub, the body scrub in the hammam. What does the Serenity Ritual include?

Can we have the Serenity Ritual as a couple?
Yes. In the couples room, with two tables side by side and two therapists at the same time. For two, the massage runs sixty minutes instead of fifty.
How is it different from the La Sultane de Saba journeys?
The journeys last two hours, pass through the hammam and include a body wrap and the brand's scents. Serenity is shorter, without the hammam, and combines scrub, massage and face: the house ritual.
How firm is the massage?
Light to medium, like the relaxation massage. The therapist asks before she starts and adjusts as she goes. If you want firm pressure on the back, this ritual is not the right choice; the deep tissue massage is.
Can I have the ritual while pregnant?
The scrub and the mini-facial yes; the massage is done side-lying, with bolsters, from the second trimester. Tell us when you book and the ritual adapts. Speak to your doctor or midwife first.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Cancellation policy: full refund of the deposit if you cancel at least 24 hours in advance. After that, the deposit is not refunded.
When should I arrive, and what is included?
Arrive 10 minutes early. Includes tea after your treatment and slippers.
How can I pay?
Card, MB Way and Multibanco. Bookings between 8pm and 11pm ask for a 30% deposit.
