Lipo Cavitation in Porto

Lipo cavitation is a non-invasive treatment for localised fat: a low-frequency ultrasound device passes over the area to be treated, belly, hips, thighs or arms, with a conductive gel, for about thirty minutes, followed by manual work on the same area. No needles, no pain, no downtime. At Mirra, in Porto city centre, near Trindade metro station, we do it in forty-five-minute sessions, in a series, and we tell you before you book what it is not: not weight loss, not liposuction, and not something that works without diet and exercise alongside.

Why have your lipo cavitation in Porto at Mirra

The assessment first. The first thing we do is look at the area and measure it. If what you have is localised fat in one place, lipo cavitation makes sense. If what you want is to lose weight, we tell you this is not it, and suggest a body evaluation consultation to think about something else. We would rather lose a booking than do a treatment that will not give you what you expect.

A real series. A single lipo cavitation session makes no visible difference, and we do not sell you one. The usual plan is one session a week for six to eight weeks, on the same area, with measurements. That is how you know whether it is working.

What comes after. After the ultrasound, the therapist works the same area with manual lymphatic drainage and a firmer contouring massage, with Janssen Cosmetics products. It is the part most places skip, and the one that helps the body deal with what the ultrasound loosened.

How the lipo cavitation is done

Measuring and preparing

Lying down, with the area uncovered. The therapist measures the area with a tape, to compare session to session, and applies the conductive gel. She confirms with you the limits of the area and what stays out.

Ultrasound

The device’s transducer passes over the area in continuous circular movements, never resting in one place, for about thirty minutes. You feel moderate warmth and, in many people, a high-pitched hum in the ears, which is the sound of the device passing through the tissue and disappears when it stops. It does not hurt.

Draining and contouring

Gel wiped off, the therapist does manual lymphatic drainage on the area and along the paths to the nearest nodes, then a firmer contouring massage with a Janssen Cosmetics anti-cellulite product. About fifteen minutes. At the end, water, and the advice to drink a great deal more.

Benefits

On lipo cavitation, independent research is scarce and of low quality, and we point you to no studies that do not support what they say. So we promise you neither centimetres nor kilos. What we tell you is what we do: we measure before and after each session, on the same area, and we show you the tape. If after four sessions there is no difference, we say so and we stop. It is the only honest promise a treatment like this can make.

Afterwards

Drink a great deal of water that day and the next. Eat lightly, no alcohol. If you can, a half-hour walk in the following hours. Skip the sauna and steam room that day. None of this is optional: it is the part of the treatment you do at home.
